Héloïse Mas, Mezzo-Soprano

Héloïse MAS began her musical education as a child, studying piano and later organ, before turning toward voice, in the class of R. Boschiero at the Conservatoire à Rayonnement Régional of Epinal, and with E. Vassilieva in private lessons in Paris.


During the same period, Héloïse graduated in Economics from the University of Nancy, in 2008. She then spent a year in Italy, with A. Schepis, becoming fluent in Italian and performing regularly. Notably, she was the alto soloist in a concert of Mozart’s Requiem.
 She entered the National Conservatory for Music and Dance of Lyon in the class of Isabelle Germain and Fabrice Boulanger.


During her studies she takes part in numerous productions. In 2011, Héloïse made an impression while participating in the international French art songs contest Nadia et Lili Boulanger in Paris.
 In January 2012, she sang the part of the prince Orlovsky, in a production of Die Fledermaus by Strauss. In July 2012, she performed the part of Gontran in Une Education Manquée by Chabrier at the Cité de la Voix in Vezelay.


In November 2012, she performed in a production of Trouble in Tahiti by Bernstein as the girl in the trio, and L’Enfant et les sortilèges by Ravel as the wing chair, the shepherd, the lady cat, the dragonfly and the squirrel, at the opera of Caen (France).


After a revival of Une Education Manquée in Vezelay and a following tour in Bourgogne in July 2013, Héloïse Mas obtained, in the International Contest of the Festival des Nuits Lyriques en Marmandais, the First Prize for female voice in the Opera category, as well as the Franco- Quebecois Office for the Youth Prize (O.F.Q.J.) for the “Best French Performer” in the Opera category.


She made her debut at the National Opera of Lyon in October 2013 as Sœur Mathilde in Le Dialogue des Carmélites by Poulenc.
 During the same period, she participated in the recording of Joyce Didonato's fifth solo album, Stella di Napoli.


In January 2014, Héloïse took part in the ADAMI's concert at Les Bouffes du Nord in Paris, and has made her debut at the opera of Montpellier in march 2014, as Lazuli in L'Etoile by Chabrier, with the Opéra Jeune.

While taking part in the 2014 summer production of the European Opera Center in Liverpool, England, as Dorabella, in Cosi Fan Tutte by Mozart, she also took part in the Concert of Young Talents of the 14th International Lyrique Forum of Arles, as well as participate in 27th edition of the Violon sur le Sable Festival (Violin on the sand) in Royan, France.


Héloïse has been chosen as the 2014 Classical Revelation of the ADAMI (Administration for the Rights of Artists and Musicians) and, as such, has participated in the festival Pablo Casals de Prades in August of the same year, and in the Chorégies d’Orange Adami’s recital in 2015.


In July 2015, Héloïse has also made her debut in Montpellier as the Périchole in the eponym work by Offenbach, at the Amphithéâtre du domaine d’O, and then at the Festival of Saint-Céré in August, and will reprise the role in Antibes in September.


Among her plans of current and next seasons : Morocco’s Solar Festival, a Duparc recital in Mont de Marsan in December, Lazarille in Don César di Bazan by Massenet, in a production by the Frivolités Parisiennes, Alcina in Orlando Paladino by Haydn at Lausanne Opera and Fribourg Opera house, Stephano ( Roméo et Juliette) in Oman with Monte-Carlo opera house, Magdalena in Rigoletto in Nice, the creation of the opera Why should I give up my fun by Susannah Self in Wien...
